Brief Biography:

Yi Lilin, professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University, a doctoral supervisor, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Regional Optical Fiber Communication Network and New Optical Communication System, and deputy dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering. Mainly engaged in the research of smart optical communications and smart fiber lasers. He has published more than 100 papers in well-known journals in the field of optoelectronics, such as Light: Science & Applications, Optica, etc., including 7 invited papers and SCI cited more than 700 times. The work of smart mode-locked lasers was selected as the 2019 Global Optics Progress by the American Optical Society magazine "Optics & Photonics News", and was selected as one of the Top Ten Progresses in China's Optics in 2019. Papers published in Light: Science & Applications were selected as cover papers and were reviewed in the "News & Views" column. 3 times optical communication flagship conference OFC / ECOC do invited speakers, 3 times in OFC / ECOC organization workshop. Served as a member of OFC TPC (2017-2019), and served as an editorial board member of the SCI journal "Optical Fiber Technology". 2020 approved funding from the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation.

  7. Congratulations to PhD. student Wei Wei for wining MWP 2017 Best Student Paper Award with his paper “GHz-wide arbitrary-shaped microwave photonic filter based on stimulated Brillouin scattering using directly-modelated laser”.

  8. In Oct. 2017, Prof. Lilin Yi was invited as TPC member of MWP 2018, which will be held during Oct. 22nd-25th, 2018 in Toulouse, France.

  9. In Oct. 2017, Prof. Lilin Yi was invited as TPC co-chair of session "Optical Signal Processing" of CLEO-PR 2018, which will be held held during Jul. 29th-Aug. 3rd, 2018 in Hongkong, China.
