Brief Biography:Shilin Xiao, Professor, Ph.D supervisor of Shanghai Jiaotong University "Regional Optical Fiber Communication Network and New State Key Laboratory of Optical Communication System". He mainly undertakes research and teaching work in optical communication network and devices, optoelectronic technology, photoelectric sensing technology and other fields. He is a member of China Communications Society Optical Communication Committee, China Optical Society of photonics (fiber optics and integrated optics) professional committee, China Ordnance Institute of optical professional committee and senior member of China Electronics Society. He has been responsible for and presided more than 10 research projects over the optical transmission network (high-speed optical transmission, optical switching network, etc.), optoelectronic devices (optical switches, fiber amplifiers, etc.) and photoelectric sensing (fiber temperature sensor, fiber level sensor). He has won 1 second prize of provincial (ministerial) level scientific and technological progress, 3 third prize of scientific and technological progress, and 1 first prize of Shanghai invention patent application. He has published more than 60 academic papers and declared more than 10 national invention patents. |
